Staples-Motley Elementary School
With 311 students in kindergarten through third grade, Staples Elementary School offers a focused curriculum aligned to the State of Minnesota standards. Students also take part in music, physical education, art, health and technology classes.
Sacred Heart Area School
Sacred Heart Area School is fully accredited by the Minnesota Non-public School Accrediting Association. The school teaches according to the Roman Catholic doctrine and morals. Offering preschool through fifth grade, Sacred Heart students participate in weekday Mass, liturgies and daily religion classes. The curriculum aligns with the Diocese of St. Cloud and the State of Minnesota guidelines.
Early Childhood Coalition
The Staples Motley Early Childhood Coalition is a diverse group of area community members who meet monthly to develop and strengthen programs within the Staples/Motley School District to ensure children are prepared and ready to start school.
Tri-County Community Action (TCC) - Early Head Start
Early Head Start is a comprehensive home-based child development program serving pregnant women and children birth to age 3 in Morrison, Todd and Crow Wing Counties. Services include parent support, group activities, socializing, and referrals for health care, social services, housing and food assistance among many other services. TCC's Early Head Start program is provided at NO cost to families who qualify.
Tri-County Community Action (TCC) - Head Start
Head Start has centers in both Staples and Motley for children age 3 to kindergarten. Head Start encourages the role of parents as their child's first and most important teachers. Programs build relationships with families that support positive parent-child relationships, family well-being, and connections to peers and community. Schools, parents and the programs work together to promote school readiness and engage families as their children make the transition to kindergarten. TCC's Head Start program is provided at NO cost to families who qualify.
